– Customer review on 11/08/2007 A new fairy tale, written by Neil Gaiman.
Dunstan Thorn is in love with Victoria Forester - so much so that when they see a falling star, he promises to retrieve it for her as proof of his affections. Thus begins Dunstan's journey in the Fairy, the ethereal realm that lies just beyond our own, on the other side of a huge brick wall on the other side of the tiny town of Wall.
Meanwhile, in Fairy, the last Lord of Stormhold has just died, and his 3 surviving sons compete to find their father's far-flung amulet, which will give them the right to reign as the next Lord.
It's prettily written (although not without it's own ironic humour) and a nice addition to a collection of fairy tales as it has its own uniquely Gaiman flavour.
