'His hand closed automatically around the fake Horcrux, but in spite of everything, in spite of the dark and twisting path he saw stretching ahead for himself, in spite of the final meeting with Voldemort he knew must come, whether in a month, in a year, or in ten, he felt his heart lift at the thought that there was still one last golden day of peace left to enjoy with Ron and Hermione.' With these words "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" draws to a close. And here, in this seventh and final book, Harry discovers what fate truly has in store for him as he inexorably makes his way to that final meeting with Voldemort. In this thrilling climax to the phenomenally bestselling series, J.K. Rowling will reveal all to her eagerly waiting readers. About the Author J.K. Rowling lives with her family in Edinburgh. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was her first novel, followed by Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as well as two books written specifically for Comic Relief and based on the Harry Potter novels, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Quidditch Through the Ages. – Customer review on 09/08/2008 Although I don't like the ending, it's too short and didnt tell much of Harry's grown up stories, and the beginning part where Harry, Hermoine and Ron were trying to search for the Horcrux, was a bit boring. Overall, it's still a good read.
The highlight would be Snape's story in this book. It's a bit surprised but it's a pleasant surprise.
I would think The Order of Phoenix and Half Blood Prince is better.

– Customer review on 02/07/2008 After a long wait, you would think that this book just cant be that good. But it was awesome! A brilliant ending to the series. I just loved the story of Snape... It was amazing :) Definitely not a book just for children - I recommend it to all readers.

– Customer review on 20/05/2008 A thrilling final installment to the Harry Potter series which doesn't dissapoint. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows follows Harry and his side-kicks Hermione and Ron as they struggle with a task left to them by Voldemort on which the fate of the wizarding word hinges. Full of thrills ans spills and a tear-jerking ending this much anticipated finale is a real page-turner. It's appeal lying essentially in the plot, at times J.K Rowlings ambitious attempt to tie together loose ends makes the narrative somewhat rambling and confusing. Having lost the foundation of Hogwarts, Harry, Ron and Hermione's somewhat directionless questing is at times tedious but Rowlings accessable writing style and emotive and highly imaginative plot is sure to satisfy Harry Potter fans and admirably conclude this highly celebrated series.

– Customer review on 22/10/2007 I was so looking forward to this book. preordered, waited waited - and was sadly let down. I thought it not nearly so good as the other books it felt unfinished and lacking in some way. Having said that, I did tear up a few times, but I didnt go through in one read as I did the others. I just didnt GRIP me like the other books.

– Customer review on 21/10/2007 The book is faced paced, thrilling and absolutely devouring. The last book in the famous harry potter series, i would've given it a full 5 stars, but i believed the epilogue was disappointing and did not give away enough. Otherwise it is a great read!

– Customer review on 19/10/2007 This was a really enjoyable book concluding one of the most popular series of its time. One thing i didn't like was the predictable ending as it seems very similar to other happily ever after endings, there was nothing unexpected like J.K. Rowling had said there would be, i felt like the ending had been rushed. otherwise the book had everything and really does answer all your questions in the mysteries of the Harry Potter world.

– Customer review on 07/09/2007 I finally finished reading this on the weekend and I managed to get through it without finding out the ending from someone else. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. It was very action packed and exciting. My emotions were all over the place as people I gotten to know over the whole series were hurt or killed. I laughed when Ron and Hermoine shared their 1st kiss in the midst of a wizard war and Harry told them to get on with it.
Some parts of the book were abit confusing so I may have to sit down and re-read it (what a chore!!) but overall enjoyed it.

– Customer review on 01/09/2007 Fantastic conclusion to a fantasic story. We all know that Harry Potter is going to be a classic, and this enthralling final installment is true to J.K. Rowling's ledgendary writing style. It was gripping, and full of deep back story, we never saw coming but wished would. I'm sure most would agree that even if you've never been into Harry potter before, the magic of this story will not be lost on you. It transcends the barriers between Children's books and adult novels, creating a story full of human emotion, perfect for a few afternoons of pure escapism

– Customer review on 28/08/2007 Fantastic book. It ties up all the loose ends from the previous books -and answers all those unanswered questions. Fast moving - frightening at times but rivetting through out. A must read for anyone who likes Harry Potter. Don't wait for the movie - as this is definatley worth the time reading it.
