I got this book for my birthday and I couldn't wait to read it. It wasn't what I expected but still a very interesting book. I found the stories very slow and some days could only read ten pages before I put it down and went to do something else. But I kept reading it and I was rewarded by brilliant stories and a very clever writing style. This is a great book if you have a few spare hours every day and if you do then Dianna Wynne Jones will take you away to the amazing world of Chrestomanci (I love that name!).

Chronicles of Chrestomanci, Charmed Life is an absolute delight! A tale woven with such beautiful mastery of the english language,richly imaginative. A wonderful read aloud or just as good to have all to your self! Highly reccomended.
