Laurell K Hamilton writes a terrific story in her Anita Blake novels. An absolute must-read, this book is third in the series. They should be read in order as the plots always differ but the characters that you have to love (or hate) remain the same. Anita Blake, Jean-Claude (the master vampire who wants her as his human servant) and Richard Zeeman inhabit a truly fascinating world.

Simply irresistable reading! Laurell Hamilton draws you into her world of vampires, werecreatures and other strange and deadly denizens with fluent ease. Filled with bullet paced action and sizzling sexual tension, the dimunitive but heart of steel and strongly independant heroine Anita Blake has to contend with not only deadly creatures but the fascinating and enigmatic Master Vampire of the City, Jean Claude. Impossible to put down!

A great scene with a snake and a very unique love triangle begins in this 3rd installement of the Anita Blake verse.
