I have really loved this book, its full of inspiration and techniques that one can use on just about anything, great for the beginner too! It will definitely be a permanent fixture in my craft room for whenever I want to try a new technique or challenge myself.

I highly recommend Collage Discovery Workshop.
Not only does this book include beautiful (and instructive) photographs of Claudine's collage work, but the reader is also treated to many versatile techniques, Claudine offers explanation and instruction for several different types of image transfer techniques, from transfers using common tape or laminate to more unusual transfers using heat and forget about messy glues and decoupage mediums -- Claudine suggests an interesting way of using beeswax in assembling and even coloring your collage. Several other techniques i.e. peeling paint, will lend themselves to applications in many other media. There is also an interesting lesson in assembling a "frame" for your finished pieces that is both simple and effective. I found all of her instructions to be exceptionally clear and easy to follow. I have tried just about all of the techniques in this book with excellent outcomes, it's a wonderful and inspiring book you won't be sorry!

An excellent and inspiring book - this is one to read a page or two from, then DO! Techniques are described simply, and the photographic illustrations never confusing. Most materials mentioned are easy to find. Each simple technique is supported by several rich examples. Everyone I know who has read this book has loved it. Also look for its sequel "Beyond the Unexpected".
