In this infamous book of Streiber's the reader is subjected to his detailed and at times terrifying recollections and hypnosis transcripts about a series of alleged abductions by 'non-human visitors' that he underwent whilst staying at his cabin in the woods on the outskirts of New York during the 1980s.
While I am skeptical regarding the existence of extraterrestrials, while reading this personal and moving account of Whitley's there was always a tiny bit of 'what if it did really happen?'. Although the author makes no conclusion himself that the events portrayed were an alien abduction, the reader is often led to make this assumption. Whether you believe the events are genuine or all part of a dream hypnagogic hallucinatory state of the author, 'Communion' is a must read for anyone that enjoys alien conspiracy's. Read it and judge for yourself.
