Water is a fascinating yet challenging subject to paint. It changes forms, moods, shape and colour as the surrounding influences are altered. This book helps you to: learn how to paint water in all it's forms so it can used as part of landscape and still life paintings; observe the motions of water to master this ever-changing subject; and, through careful observation, understand waters actions and reactions, how it reflects and refracts light, and, how it moves and much more.
About the Author
Since 1987 Bert Petri and his wife, Cheri (also an artist), have operated their own gallery in the beautiful harbour town of Pentwater on Lake Michigan.
Ijust love this book as it covers sea, streams, lakes, river, puddles, and rain soaked ground. Not many books cover all in this subject so comprehensibly. Qiute often if it is about sea that is all you get but as the title says complete guide to water. Reflections of all types are also covered even blurred by the wind. If you really enjoy painting water of all types this has to be the most helpful book on the subject. Well worth owning, and well recommended.
