Despite the title, this book is a surprisingly indepth read of Wicca and witchcraft. For those new to the craft it contains a comprehensive account of Wicca and Witchcraft including the history, basics of ritual, tradition, worship of deities, practical magick, magickal correspondences, magickal tools, divination, dreams and visions. It covers what it means to be a witch, and for those who are ready ... how to become a witch and practice the craft.
It is an excellent reference book (even for those more advanced in their studies) and still has a prime place on my bookshelf.

One of the best books in the Complete Idiot's Guide series. The writers not only connect to the reader and explain things in an easy way, they manage to go into just enough detail so as not to be too brief, but not too much to confuse you either.

A wiccan must have!! Highly recommend!

When they say its for idiots they mean it. This book is easy to read and so easy to follow. Its got everything from casting a circle to herbs and crystals. Loved it and have already leant it to a friend who is interested in the craft. Would recomend it to anyone with an intrest in wicca and associated areas.
