The story behind this deck is quite amazing! Eileen Connolly had the images in her head for years. She knew her son, Peter Paul would be the one to bring these images from her mind to the cards and sure enough, the little boy grew up to become an artist and when the time was right, they worked on this project together. It's hard to believe that Peter Paul had no formal art training as the artwork is beautiful- pencil drawings with vibrant colours, but with a very soft, peaceful feel about them. This is an excellent deck to use when reading for clients or friends who are a bit scared of the Tarot. The card usually known as "Death" (XIII) has been re-named as "Transition", and the other "scary" card, "The Devil" (XV) has been replaced with "Materialism". It is similar enough to the RWS to be easy to use for those familiar with the RWS system and imagery, but it is also different enough to be worth owning. This is a very carefully thought out deck, and you will find it is loaded with symbolism and meaning. An excellent deck to study. If the artwork appeals to you I highly recommend it.
