'Gordon Ramsay's Humble Pie - so exuberantly angry boastful, cliche-ridden, expletive-laden and touchingly sincere that I can't believe that a single sentence has been written by anyone but the failed footballer, great cook, telly star and businessman himself. He's the genuine bollocks, as he's so fond of saying, and this is the tale of his personal class struggle.' - The Observer

Having become interested in Gordon Ramsay from his programmes "Hell's Kitchen" and "The F Word", I eagerly awaited the release of this autobiography. Gordon's cooking is fantastic, but to be honest, I have never bought a cook book. I was much more interested in Gordon's story and this does not disappoint. He is such a wonderful chef and is indeed, as the title suggests, a very humble person with a checkered background. This book certainly has some interesting facts in it - gives a great insight into how Gordon is how he is - certainly explains why he so frequently asserts himself with the "F" word! Gordon's life is truly fascinating and this book does not hold back. There are even some interesting early day photos. A good paced read, well written, honest and enjoyable. Really looking forward to his next book.
Very easy read. Entertaining. He's pretty frank about his life and family. He seems comfortable listing his own follies but also to illustrate how very hard he has worked to chieve what he has.

Gordon's honesty and account of his life is truely something that people should see. Although his talent is kept mainly in the kitchen the story that he has told allows people to really understand where the hell he came from and not just a rich kid put into the kitchen.
Would recommend this book to anyone who thinks they have had a bad day or thinks they cant achieve something in life. This book is inspiring
