So far I have made Oven-fried mustard chicken, Anzac Biscuits & Burnt Butter Biscuits and the recipes have worked perfectly, You know they have been well tested over the years by good home cooks and enjoyed by many families.
Full of practical everyday recipes that are not only delicious & wholesome but on the whole are very ecconomical and easy to make.
I really love the format of this book also, a hard cover so it is protected from the hardlife of a well loved cookbook, spiral bound so it sits open when working from & plenty of space to write notes next to recipes.
Unfortunately there is no photographs of the finished recipe, but it kind of makes it feel like you are using your grandma's recipe book ;)
There are a few lovely old black & white photos through the book of some CWA ladies, which reminds you of the history behind these faithful recipes.
