This book has a great selection of recipes that taste great while also being quite simple and quick to prepare. All meals have the calories calculated for you, the amount of serves the recipe caters for and also gives you great ideas for alternative options. A 12-week meal plan is included which uses all the recipes in the book and allows you to use leftovers during the week. A lot of information is provided at the beginning about how to change your habits, case studies on some of Michelle’s clients, recommended calorie intake and calculations, analysis of food groups and cooking methods. There is a little bit on exercising but if your after a good introductory exercising plan and more detailed information about how to calculate weight loss you should look at her other book Crunch Time: lose weight fast and keep it off.

Quite a good book but some of the recipes are VERY basic....grilling with drizzles of sauce. So far I have used one salad recipe and also cooked the lentil shepard's pie which turned out well. The salad recipe also turned out well (chickpea, spinach and beetroot). The front part of the book has some good dieting information and tips but I am not sure I would use many more of the recipes. If you really have zero idea about cooking and being healthy it is probably a worthwhile purchase.

I bought this book after first borrowing it from the library. It was absolutely worth purchasing. One review says this book is basic... and I would agree, but in a VERY POSITIVE way. Michelle explains in simple terms how to take control of your weight and your health. There are weekly menu plans and recipes and exercise tips. Her recipes are not fancy in terms of ingredients but they are delicious and you can buy all you need from your local supermarket. Don't buy this book if you want fancy-pants recipes - absolutely buy this book if you want to learn about how to be healthy without dieting.

I bought this book yesterday, it is fantastic! Unlike most of the other 'healthy' food recipe books, Michelle's recipes are actually real food. I tried the Chicken Pad Thai last night and it was fantastic, restaurant tasting! I highly recommend it :)
