I bought this book on the strength of the reviews as I had never seen it or heard of it before.

It has been an absolute winner in our household and is on high rotation! My nine-month old loves to open the flaps and enjoys hearing mummy or daddy make the sounds of the different animals - he has even started roaring like a lion! It's a bit challenging as there are a few animals in there that we have no idea what sound they make, so we've just invented some random noises - he will be very confused if he ever gets to hear a real one!

I completely recommend this book to anyone with a little one, and I expect it will continue to be popular with our bubba for a good year or two (at least.

My 20 month old loves this book - it is a must for every toddler library. He has learnt all the animal noises to go along with the lift the flaps and often pulls it out for anyone available to read to him. Definitely recommend.

Love this board book. A great first book for any baby. A gorgeous quick little story with a surprise flap on every page which assist in engage the child with the book and also encouraging the joy of reading. This book in a book shelve classic.

My nephew loves this book. He wants it read over and over again. He has many books to read with Mum, but this one and 'Where's Spot' are his favorites by far. Highly recommended!

My toddler is a fan of Buster, this book is delightful with the varying animals that are sent from the zoo. Easy lift up flaps that are sturdy, so far! Although may have to put away once he knows what getting a puppy means!

Brilliant classic kids book. Board pages great and the flaps are pretty tough. Only slight problem is for very young kids is that the flaps are cuts outs and can get a little stuck so you have to lift the flap from the small fingerhole required you to slightly lift them first

My 8mth old son loves this book - so simple and engaging for his curious mind - he always lift the flaps by himself now and the wide eyed response each time is gorgeous. The flaps are made from really strong cardboard so surprisingly after 4mths of reading (and continuous flap lifting) not one has ripped yet. A great book for babies and beyond - I can see us enjoying this one for a few years to come.

My son absolutely loves this book. It is repetitive and simple enough for him to stay engaged (2 yrs old) and he loves lifting the flaps to find the hidden animals. He is now able to recognise and say the names of many animals. It would make a great gift too. Being in board book form is great too. I intend to buy more.

Dear Zoo has kept my 6 month old captivated for hours on end. The simple format with flip up pictures adds to the thrill of discovering each animal as it is sent to your home.
Highly recommend this book for children from birth through to preschool.
