One of V. C Andrews best novels. It's about a young poor Mexican girl Delia, who leaves her home and is sent to go live with her rich aunt in the US. Her aunt is not proud of her heritage and forces Delia to learn English with a sick and twisted teacher. Delia fortunately escapes from this man but still endures hardship with her aunt.
Delia's Crossing by V.C Andrews is the first book of a three part series. The story is about fifteen year old Delia Yebarra who moves from Mexico to Palm Springs California, to live with her cruel and vicious aunt after her parents are killed in a truck accident. Whilst trying to fit in and learn the English language, her nasty cousin Sophia makes her life difficult whereas her cousin Edward is kind hearted and does his best to help her fit in. A brilliant read.
