About the Author
Tom Ang is an award-winning photographer and best-selling author, and is the host of BBC TV's A Digital Picture of Britain. He was Senior Lecturer in Photographic Practice at the University of Westminster for 12 years. His photographs have been exhibited around the world and he has contributed to magazines such as What Digital Camera, MacUser, and Creative Arts. Tom won the Thomas Cook Travel Book Award for his photographic coverage of the Marco Polo Expedition. He is now a full-time photographer, writer and TV presenter. Tom lives in London.

Two of the greatest costs in conventional photography are film and processing but many of us have been reluctant to embrace low cost digital photography because of perceived shortcomings. Tom Ang shows us yet again in his book Digital Photography Masterclass that the digital camera of today is as good as, if not better than, conventional methods.
Tom explains in understandable terms and pictures how we can create perfect images and by computer manipulation improve those where for one reason or another are not quite what we wanted when taking the shot.
For the cost of a few rolls of film and post processing this latest book by Tom takes us through almost every aspect of photography with clear tutorials, examples, analysis and assignments.
This is a book by an acknowledged expert, a book which should be on every photographers bookshelf no matter what their level of experience.
I bought this book for a friend and ended up buying a copy for myself. It is a practical guide to all things photography. It does not overwhelm the reader with lots of unexplained jargon which is refreshing for someone who is just starting out in photography. A must buy
I find this book very helpful. The pages are black I like that. I bought this book because it has advanced photography. My Favorite chapter has to be the one that describes photography and fine art. I bought a new RSL camera and found that this book goes in details on how to use your camera.
