Harry Lyon is a cop who embraces tradition and order. The biggest bane of his life is his partner, Connie Gulliver. This is a great horror novel centering around two cops and their hunt for a villain with supernatural/psychic abilities.
Koontz writing was very descriptive and one murder scene in particular was almost too gruesomely described. The dog was a unique character and I found it fascinating that parts of the book were written from the dog's perspective - lots of descriptions of the smells and tastes as a dog would experience. I didn't enjoy this book as much as Phantoms but it was still a great read.
