This is a lovely story, so not rating this one down here for that reason, but I was disappointed to receive this today to find out that it is about a quarter of the size of the actual book - if you're looking for the proper sized version, then don't purchase this one. The picture does show the tiny symbol in the top left hand corner as "pocket puffin" which is very easily missed, but please Fishpond, it'd be really good if you put this in the actual description to avoid disappointment to your customers.

A lovely parade of traditional fairy tale characters. Enjoy spotting the character on each page. My tip is to read the strong rhymes to the tune of the Big Ben chimes ( sounds freaky but it really works well with the strong metre in the text). The Ahlbergs are masters of their game and this is a book to share on many levels.

This is a wonderful book for young children. The pictures are delightfully simple and colourful and use all of the favourite nursery rhyme characters.
There is something extra to look for on every page to give the reader a taste of what will happen next and the easy rhyming text makes is great for little ones to 'read' along and they love the surprise ending!

A great story that features many of the favourite characters from childrens literature. Children will pick up on the rhyming nature of the story and be able to anticipate which character they spy next. The book will also delight many adults who read it. The illustrations are detailed and perhaps a little too busy, however children will enjoy the surprise of seeing all their favourite characters in one book.
