What a beautiful and entertaining read. With such brilliant illustrations and puzzles along the way to solve, this book will give any child hours of entertainment. Ideally suited to children aged 7 to 11, but even the younger and older ages will get something out of this masterpiece!

I actually haven't read this for years, and am looking to buy it for my little brother (8). Me and my sister absolutely LOVED this when we were kids, it was such a brain-teaser, took us ages to get through all the activities and find out who ate the food!!! It's a really cute book, lots of things to notice, each time you read it you find something new. Graeme Base's books all have amazing artwork, such detail!! I'd recommend it for boys and girls, aged about 7 to 11. For those who love a challenge, and will be rewarded by figuring out the secret ending, it is awesome!!
