Daine is back, and on a peace mission to Carthak where she is to help in healing the emperors birds whilst the adults negotiate a truce between their countries. Diplomacy is all well and good, but why has the emperor pardoned Numair when he was so angered by him? Why are the gods meddling in her life all of a sudden?

Emperor Mage was a great read. King Ozorne - the man of many faces, or so it seemed – was a wonderful villain. And the ending, I loved. Daine’s revenge, as I think of it, was both original and cool, and I absolutely adored every member of the group who went to Carthak.

The most eye-opening book in this whole quartet. This book sheds light on exactly how each character feels about each-other. And adds a dangerous new enemy into the mixture. Too much and unwanted help from the local Goddess, the Graveyard Hag, certainly doesn't help either. New friends do, though.

Daine visits the Emperor of a neighboring country to help heal his birds. Though the two lands are trying to make piece, all isn't as it seems. For the gods are angry at the Emperor, and when the gods are angry, Daine learns that anything can happen, especially when she is made a vessel for the realms resident goddess.

The resident Goddess also has her eye on her and one under the eye of the Gods should take care as Diana finds out in this exiting installment.

This is the third book in the Imortal quartet, and one of my favourites!
Daine travels with Numair and a group of nobles to the Chataki Empire. She has been specially requested by the emperor to help with his sick birds. as news of her wild magic gift has traveled far and wide.
Daine complies with the Emperors wishes, and helps out with her gift, but what she doesn't know if that there is a plot against her as the emperor want's more than that of which he can not have...
Will Daine and Numair survive the ordeal of what is to come?

This is the best book in the Immortals series so far. It really keeps up the pace and I literally could not put it down. This time round sees Daine off to attend the peace talks between Tortall and Carthak. But all is not as it seems with the emperor. His son seems alright, but somewhere there is evil afoot.
Stunning imagery and imagination, this is a book not to miss out on. Endearing characters that you can just fall in love with.
