Reviews
"If Rumi is the most-read poet in America today, Coleman Barks is in good part responsible. His ear for the truly divine madness in Rumi's potrey is truly remarkable."-- Huston Smith, author of "The World's Religions""In this...delightful treasury, Barks sparklingly demonstrates once again why his free-form interpertations of [Rumi's] poetry...have been a major impetus for the current Rumi vogue."-- "Publishers Weekly"

Rumi is an eastern poet, a kind of mystic poet. His poems are beautifully written and timeless. Rumi lived centuries ago and still his poems are relevant today. He speaks of lovers and their love , he speaks of spiritual things. None of the poems are of the rhyming kind, having been translated. This is a beautiful book to own or to give as a gift to someone very special.
