Like all the Tarot products from the Magic Realist Press, this is a tour de force. It is this reviewer's opinion that MRP have put out the most successful synthesis of fairytale and Tarot (cf. Whimsical Tarot and Inner Child Cards). The companion book is of the same high standard we've come to expect from this publisher, while the cards are beautiful, large, perfectly printed and durable without being H-bomb-proof. The back design is attractive; the quirky use of digital cartoon against collage makes the cards engaging and fun. The exploration of each card's fairytale is more meaningful and effective than other fairytale decks. This set is highly recommended to anyone with a fairly solid knowledge of Tarot.
