A quick read with some lovely observations, great descriptions, and fascinating characters, not to mention a mystery that keeps you wondering, I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The world crafted by Lanyon is just as intriguing as the mystery, and the man writes emotion well, getting into a character's head and under his skin but without revealing too much. I can't wait to treat myself to the sequel.

This is the first book in Josh Lanyon's Adrien English Mysteries. When his friend and employee is found murdered, mystery bookstore owner, Adrien English is an early suspect - even with the appearance of a mysterious stalker. Adrien starts his own investigations and finds that someone is bumping off his high-school classmates.
At last I was able to find a gay story that I liked. Likeable characters and a good plot that doesn't have to rely on copious sex scenes to carry the story. Josh Lanyon would have to be my favourite M/M writer.
