– Customer review on 16/09/2008 I heard about this book in Richard Williams brilliant book (a must for any student of animation) and then hunted down a copy.
This book is stunning. Not only is it beutifully presented but wonderfully written. The authors alternate between describing the ins and outs of an animated feature and telling the history of the Disney Company. The narrative is interspersed with related anecdotes from the making of some of the companies finest films, many of which I found very amusing.
As an animation student, though, the highlight of the book, for me, would have to be the carefully selected animation sequences. I've spent ages just studying the drawings used to make the charicters come alive.
No Disney fan or animation enthusiasts collection is complete without this book.
