– Customer review on 12/02/2008 The Tintin encountered in "Tintin in the land of the Soviets" is a far cry from the Tintin found in the later, more well known books once his popularity was assured. In this book, republishing a series of cartoons from very early in Tintin's tenure, the cartoon is big, in black and white, and really quite rough, containing none of the confident finesse of later books. Interesting in terms of Tintin's origins, but not much else. Stick with the well known books instead.
