The character of mara jade was one i always found interesting ever since the old heir to the empire series of novels. This graphic novel explores the time period when mara jade was the emperors hand and her exploits at his command. The artwork is great and is far better than many of the other star wars graphic novels out there. Also having the the writers that made the character great do the script for it makes it that much better.

Story/writing by well-established Star Wars authors Timothy Zahn and Michael Stackpole, and pencilled by Carlos Ezquerra, renowned for his vintage Judge Dredd and other 2000AD work - with a team like that, "Mara Jade" promises to be an epic hit...and it delivers. I'd by this graphic novel just for Ezquerra's art, which is impeccably coloured, by the way, but it also conveys key events in Mara Jade's storyline, starting just after Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, but with lots of flashbacks to explain a lot of the motivation behind her action in other/later novels.
