A wonderful collection of four short stories set in the world of the Black Jewels trilogy. "The Weaver of Dreams" is a short, evocative piece about the creation of the Blood, and in particular the Dream Weavers, the first Black Widows. "Zuulaman" is set in the far past, before the birth of Daemon and Lucivar, and deals with the darkest time of Saetan's life, and also demonstrates why Saetan is so feared in the Realms. "Kaeleer's Heart" is set at the end of Queen of the Darkness, and provides a more complete ending to the series, especially concerning the fates of Daemon and Jaenelle, as well as explaining the properties of Twilight's Dawn, Jaenelle's new jewel. My favourite, however, would have to be "The Prince of Ebon Rih", which is set between Heir to the Shadows and Queen of the Darkness, and tells of Lucivar's meeting, courtship and marriage to Marian. Every one of these stories are superb, written in Anne Bishop's signature effervescent style. A joy to read, and a must-read for anyone that has read the Black Jewels trilogy (be sure to read the trilogy before you read this one, though!).

This is a must read for lovers of The Black Jewels Trilogy. The three short stories are set in different times, some closer to book three Queen of The Darkness and others add a flavour which further enriches existing characters like Lucivar. I strongly recommend you read it after the triology and before the new Black Jewels books which Anne Bishop has kindly written. Dreams Made Flesh will make you laugh and you'll be smiling long after you've turned the last page.

I have read this book a few times since buying it and find the quality of the writing and the depth of the characters make it such an easy world to fall into. I thoroughly enjoyed the insight into Lucivar's and Saetan's lives in the 2nd and 3rd stories and the return to the relationship between Jaenelle and Daemon in the 4th story. Can't wait to see more!

In the series lucivar is married between two of the books in this it is the love story of how he ends up with a hearth witch and why his mother is so anti her. Read the blood jewel series it is an excellent story and this is a recommendation from two English teachers. suitably dark and hints at a very evil world it is very well written book and I urge you with all of my being to read all of Anne Bishops work. a new writer who will soon be top of her field.

This book is an excellent read for any fans of the Black Jewels trilogy. As well as continuing Jaenelle's and Daemon's story it also has several short stories that fill in some of the gaps about some of the other pivotal characters in this series, namely Saetan and Lucivar.
