Raymond E Feist is an excellent and inventive mastermind of fantasy. He takes the reader into another world. Each of his novels is original and innovative- new and exciting. Feist is absolutely fantastic. He is undoubtedly the leader of the fantasy genre. His characters are so amazingly realistic and his made-up narrative world so strong that it is easy to get lost in the story. Fantastic book by a fantastic author! You can’t go wrong with Raymond E Feist- sure some of his series are better than others, but they’re all good.
Excitement, adventure and great one-liners, this book has it all and will keep you turning pages as fast as you can. The return of Jimmy the Hand as a major character is also one of the reasons that I love this book, but even if you are not a Jimmy fan you will still love this book. I highly recommend this book to all those who enjoy Feist but would suggest that you start at the begining of the Riftwar Saga and read the books through in order to completely understand the entire story, you'll miss out on huge chuncks (and some in jokes) if you don't. Enjoy!
