I loved this book, I felt the portrayal of 'mad' Paragon was written superbly well, and I felt for this twisted, half formed character. Althea and Brash's attempts to bring him into the fold are heartrending, and Kennit's growing obsession with Vivacia is starting to be reciprocated. Such a worrisome state of affairs, and then you add in the mysterious Amber who knows too much, the priest child Wintrow and his strange connection to serpents, and you have another single sitting read.
Another fabulous read.
