This is the third in the Mercy Thompson series, and her life is getting ever more complex. She’s juggling two werewolf lovers, and Sam and Adam are both impatiently waiting for to choose between them. [Werewolves are not known for their patience.] She’s also working for Fae mechanic, and Fae’s are not the easiest species to work for. Things get even more hectic when her boss and mentor is arrested for murder, and in order to clear him, Mercy has to begin a lone-wolf investigation that may cost her life. Briggs’ style has been described as ‘kick-ass’, ‘steamy’, and ‘full-bore action’, but she doesn’t lose the emotional heart of her characters. ‘Iron Kissed’ is a good paranormal mystery [hey, it’s a Briggs], darker than many so if you’re looking for a light read a la Lynsay Sands this isn’t it, and the background is a totally realistic world with political overtones and well-researched mythology. Believable and brilliant, that’s Patricia Briggs.

This book is another 'outstanding' one in the Mercy THompson series. 'Blood Bound' is just as good, however 'Iron Kissed' is more serious. Again the plots and characters allow the book to become a cosy thriller. The series keeps getting better. This writer is undervalued in my opinion, as not enough people know about her books. You must read 'Moon Called' and 'Blood Bound' first to appreciate 'Iron Kissed' at maximum level.

it was great for once to have a female protagonist who wasn't the typical damsel in distress that you usually get!!!

I really enjoyed this. If you like Laurell.k Hamilton, Jim Butcher kind of books chances are you'll like this as well. She's a heroine with attitude....there is heaps of romance and crazy charactors to keep you amused and the content is not to heavy. Perfect lazy bath reading!!!

This is the third book and i loved this one, they seem to get better each time as the author explains more and more of her view on the super natural.
This time its about the Fae, Mercy's old boss and friend is arrested for murder, so ofcorse Mercy has to try and prove his innocence, along the way she learns more and more about the Fae people and it really interesting.
Her relationships are also developing with the protective werewolves, Who will she choose.

Although this is the third book in this series i accidently read it first. I was so impressed I have since brought all of the books fishpond had available. Fantastic strong female lead.
