For a long time, I have been looking for books that were interesting to read, yet at the same time not overtly filled with blood and gore. Mercy is a strong woman who is not oversexed, which makes her a very interesting character. The plot and other characters in this book were also remarkable. I really like the fact that it is a thriller, not a romance book disguised as a thriller, with some weak overly-sexed bimbo getting together with a hard macho werewolf. This is a really good book. I haven't read such a good fantasy-horror-thriller in a long time.

This is the second book in the series and it was great and also even scary in a few places.
Mercy's relationships with the werewolfs begin to develop a little further in this book and if you love vampires you'll love this because although we met Mercy's Vampire friend in the first book, we didn't really get to know much about him and the author's view on Vampires. In this book you get that insight into the vampire world and Mercy's unique ability to be immune to some of their power.
Mercy has a few admirers!!

A sensational tale of adventure and heroism, with a plot of nail-biting suspense and unerring action. Brilliantly written by a true master of the genre. The characters are perfect in every sense- real and intriguing. They struggle against bitter enemies and through great danger, and come out triumphant! Simply the best!!!!!

This is book two of Mercy the Walker - she can change into a coyote.
With one old flame living in her not very large trailer and her newest beau living next door, it's not surprising that Mercy is a little on edge. When her Vampire friend asks for her assistance, she willingly transforms into a coyote to act as pretend pet. But when a demon-marked sorcerer vampire starts taking the lives of not only humans but her friends as well, Mercy gets caught up in the hunt for the mad killer.
I had enjoyed book 1 so much that it was no trouble at all getting into this one. My only complaint - book 3 isn't out yet!

A great sequel. Patricia still manages to have the sexual tension and throws in another love interest but I'm pretty sure that while stephan the vampire has serious feelings for her that she isn't after him. I hope she hooks up with Adam. man he is sexy. In this book she is after a vampire with a demon inside it. she has to put to use her vampire killing heritage. It looks like Samuel is going mad and she is afraid of Adam because he makes her go all submissive. apparently he doesn't think very well when she is around and has trouble managing his domiance powers of a alpha. Most werewolf books hit you over the head with the whole thing but Patricia is so deliciously subtle. A clever, absolutely can't put down, read.
