this book was awsome. but then again all david gemmel books are. the main characters wher all awsome, and in this book you really see the thirty/ read about the thirty alot. temak khan is pretty cool, and pagan is awsome, a shame he died. any way this was an engrosing and enjoyable novel, probobly one of the best, and defenatly a must read for gemmell fans.

David Gemmell has created possibly the most compelling of all in his characters in the Drenai series after the mighty Druss- the enigmatic and lethal Tenaka Khan. Set in a fantastical realm of dark magic and even darker creatures, this is a truly pulse pounding read filled with graphic but very well choroeographed battle and action scenes. The trademark and enthralling Gemmell characters are in force here and the pace is great. Never a dull or wasted moment.
