– Customer review on 05/10/2008 One of Salvatores earlier works, and a slightly different premise with the story surrounding a man (Gary Leger) from the real world who goes to the land of 'Faerie' with help of a fairy ring and an enchantingly named leprechaun Mickey McMickey. The story line follows Gary's adventures in the land of Faerie with his companions, the leprechaun, a dwarf (Geno) and an elf (Kelsey).
Although the normal races are represented, slight differnces to the norm for each race gives a new impression of them all.
Villains include a dragon, an evil but alluring witch, and an evil human king.
Well written like most of Salvatores tales, The Spearwielders Tale is a fine story, split into three distinct but related tales.
Well recommended
