This is a wonderful and very well-presented collection of all three of the books that comprise the Black Jewels Trilogy, being Daughter of the Blood, Heir to the Shadows and Queen of the Darkness. All the books are unabridged and complete, and are a wonderful, dark and edgy fantasy series which tells the story of Jaenelle, a young girl who holds within her the power to either heal or destroy a world that has become corrupt and drunk on its own decadence and power, and the three men who rally to protect her in their own ways against the myriad factions that would wish to destroy her. The omnibus also comes with a nice foreword from Anne Bishop herself. A wonderful option if you are looking to purchase the entire series together, and don’t mind reading a rather heavy 1200 page book!

Totally enjoyed book couldn't put it down. A good adult fantasy book with all the required components of magic, action, romance, humour and fantasy creatures.

I waited desperately for this book to come out in the hopes that it would wrap the Black Jewels Trilogy up.
And it did so perfectly. It contains four brilliant stories, all of which add to the rich mythology and background of the Trilogy. My favourite by far is the one that tells the story of Janelle's and Daemon's life after she comes back from her Healing.

I recommend this book to any one, but I also think that you need to have read the previous books to truly get the most out of this book.

A truly original story, unlike most fantasy novels out there, this is set in a dark and bleak world filled with magical creatures from every possible imagining.

The story follows our central characters, Janelle, Daemon, Lucivar and Saetan, in a dark realm which is waiting on a creature of prophecy, a saviour to all called Witch.

Those that have been waiting are nearing despair, as they have waited centuries upon centuries, suffering under the oppressive weight of a tryannical ruler named Dorothea Sa Diablo.

Dorothea has managed to undermine the central code of what they call the Blood. The blood who hold magic in their veins are divided in two groups. Those who believe witch is here, and those that have given up on hope.

i just read the other reviews and i'm so glad i'm not the only one!!! totally couldn't get it out of my head and the first time i read the series(in two days) i sat back, took and deep breath, and promptly started all over again, just to make sure i hadn't missed anything! you HAVE GOT TO read this book!

When I first read this triliogy I finished the first book at one in the morning but I had to know what happened so I read the rest of the series that night. Put it this way I watched the sun rise but Damn it was worth it. The good guys are sex slaves. now that I have your attention I will tell you this is a excellent book and I wasn't lying. in a world where the darkness is good and women hold all the power and men serve. All my friends have read this series and some of them even went out and bought the whole series and everything else she wrote because they loved it so much. I've had the series now for a few years and I can tell you I've read it at least a dozen times. about four or five times a year. serious.

MY FAVOURITE BOOK OF ALL TIMES!!

Its Daughter of the Blood, Heir to the Darkness and Queen of the Darkness all rolled into one!!

This is such a brilliant book that portrays characters so brilliantly! You get to go into the minds of not only the characters on the 'good' side, but the 'evil' peoples inner thoughts/fears/longings/emotions are also revealed! The way Anne Bishop writes this makes it a definite can't-put-down page turner!
