When I first saw this book on another site I instantly dismissed it based on the cheesiness of the cover and title. Then I read the reviews that were pretty positive, and decided to give it a try. And I am glad that I did. The main character is Raine, a Seeker who finds a talisman that leads her and everyone around her into a world of trouble when all she wants is to be left alone. It is so refreshing to find a heroine who is gorgeous, smart, witty and tough all rolled into one and backed up by a group of family and friends who are just as interesting as she is. Throw in plenty of sexual tension between Raine and two very different men and some bad guys that you love to hate and the story is complete. While not a particularly complex read, it is a very enjoyable one and a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. I urge fans of the fantasy genre to give it a try.
