From the Author The inspiration for 'Secrets of Eromanga' came when I read about unique Australian fossils being stolen and smuggled out of our country.
Then, along came the main character, 12-year-old Ellie, fossil-mad, animal lover, a little unsure of herself, but resourceful and courageous at the same time.
I volunteered to work on the Elliot dinosaur dig site near Winton in outback Queensland; what better place to do research on Australian fossil digs?
Then, one day we went to the awesome Lark Quarry Dinosaur Stampede. Secrets of Eromanga had finally found its core � I couldn't tell Ellie's adventure without including the story of a young ornithopod from the Cretaceous Period. Links http://www.sherylgwyther.net |
