Logan walks accross the country for a girl he has never met before but who he only has a photograph of... a nice heart warming story that will keep you interested. Maybe not as captivating as some of Sparks' other books (re: the notebook or the choice), but still a nice light, romantic read.

A very moving story about the power of one photo and how it effects so many lives. A very easy book to read, I couldn't put it down and it was enjoyable right to the very end.

Logan Thibault finds a photograph of a beautiful young woman while doing a tour of duty in Kuwait. After his attempt to find the owner failed, he began carrying the photo with him. He and his buddies begin to think of the photo as a lucky charm.

Logan returns to Colorado after his discharge from the Marines. He flounders around for a while, not knowing what to do with his life. He decides that he “owes” the woman in the photograph, so he and his dog walk from Colorado to North Carolina.

In North Carolina, he finds out that Beth is a divorced, single mother. Logan must deal with Beth, her grandmother, her ex-husband and her son.

This story is told from 3 points of view - Logan’s, Beth’s and Keith’s (the ex-husband). It is a sweet, predictable love story. After reading Tears of the Desert, which was emotionally draining, but wonderful, this light read was exactly what I needed.

Another fantastic book by Sparks! A sweet story that made me think about the relationships in my life. And yes I cried at the end :)
