I really like Paulo Coelho's writing, but really struggled with this book for some reason. I started it twice and couldn't get past page 20 before deciding I didn't need to force my way through it. It may have been just too deep for me. If you like his deepness, this book may be fine for you.
An earthy and practical woman bored by her life at university encounters a childhood friend. Now a handsome and charismatic miracle worker. She follows him and both of their lives are changed for better and worse. Paulo Coelho is a difficult but fascinaitng writer driven by a genuine humanity and sense of spirituality that is moving but at times frustrating.
