– Customer review on 31/10/2006 A raw gritty book of short stories with a novella at the end. Some written in 'scottish' with a heap of slang thrown in, it can be hard to get into the zone with these books. But when you do you cannot put these books down. I have all of Welsh's books, and he never ceases to shock, amaze and thouroughly entertain me. Though these books are not for the faint hearted, they really do open up your mind to a different way of living in the world, and how you think about certain things will forever be changed after entering into the mind of Irvine Welsh.
