James Patterson is one of my favourite authors and as such reading See How they Run was a bit of a sidestep to his normal thriller genre. Following on from the second world war and a sense of neo nazism it is a great historical thriller following the characters through Europe and showing how real the scars that remain from nazi germany are.
See How They Run is hyper convoluted and really rather far fetched story that engages on a superficial level but doesn't bear up to any scrutiny on any level. A doctor has his rich and idyllic life shattered when his family is murdered. He goes on the run and attempts to get to the bottomn of things.
See How They Run is a rather tacky and still rather readable story about an affluent doctor whose ppeaceful life is shattered by the brutal murders of his parents and his wife meanwhile a former lover is on the run for her life. The doctor does the same. Moves at a brisk pace and doesn't linhger too long on its short comings.
See How They Run is one of James Pattersons lesser liked books however, as a fan of his books I did enjoy it. He takes you through a journey in history across Europe and the book is full of suspense. The characters in the book are very real and Patterson pays real attention to making them believable. I really enjoyed this book and recomend it to all Patterson fans

Granted this is not the best James Patterson work and what does it say that he can recycle a book and have it hit the top 10 lists like Cradle and All.
However this is a great premise with decent writing and yes you are trying to figure out who is who until the end. There are typical double crosses and unthinkable acts that our the trademark of J. Patterson.
Jews acting as Nazi's--even this might be a little overboard-but hey not evry book will be a home run for any writer. It's not like you read JP for the great literature--if you want a story that will keep you captivated and guessing this is a solid pick.

James, you should be ashamed. Granted, the Holocaust is a horrible, horrible part of this world's history, and my heart goes out to anyone who was subjected to this heinous persecution. But in this book, Patterson expects the reader to sympathize with a group of Jews who want revenge, and don't stop at anything to get it. This is not a case of "an eye for an eye"; it is really a literary ploy to churn out this pedestrian novel. There are so many plot inconsistencies and shallow characterizations. How can the hero David Strauss fall in love again with Alix so quickly after his wife's murder? And how in the world can we expect this doctor (a gynecologist) to become such a super hero by the end of the book. I love James Patterson's works, but this is sadly rock bottom

A very meaningful book. This has been written very, very well. The ending has been written very well. Any fans of the author should buy this book, as it is very enjoyable. I enjoyed this book from beggining to end, reccomended to any body looking for something good to read.
