– Customer review on 27/01/2007 It is a tiny book, rather like a long story (around 80 pages). So people who are interested in a quick and easy read that leaves you longing to live your life to the fullest, this is the book for you. Lizzie, a 32 year old girl who has a decent job and a loving boyfriend (even though not ready to be married) is the central character of the book.
I liked the starting line "Lizzie is dead". Then it goes on from there. She dies when cycling home from work, a little bit preoccupied. Even after she is dead, she does not know she is dead and keeps getting increasingly surprised and sad as everyone around her seems t ignore her.
There is a sentence in the book that really got my attention - "Dead is a good word for dead, it's so dead!" very true!
