I felt this is one of her classics however when I read it again recently I was disappointed by the way it seem to drag along to the conclusion. I think it should be noted the book "The DEVIL'S CUB" is a sequel to this one as it is about the Duke and his wife' son... which is not generally told in the reviews. I would rate it a better book than this one, too, but I know others who would not. Both are not to be missed and to be highly recommended... if you have not introduced yourself to Georgette Heyer it is time that you did so!!

This book is so well written that it took me ages to find out exactly what was going on. Once you have read this book you need to read the sequel, "The Devil's Cub" Both books are fantastic and really enjoyable to read. You will read and reread both with pleasure. A fantastic read!
