A book you cannot put down. This book will haunt your dreams and is brilliantly written. Jack is a master at what he does, you will want to read more of his books.

I am a huge fan of Richard Laymon and when he passed away I wasn't sure I would be able to find another author who wrote like he did. BUT I found him and his name is Jack Ketchum and the first book I tried was this very one "Off Season". I have read similar stories to this but this one I took two days to finish as I could not put it down. The intense descriptions of everything that was happening and the surroundings was awesome. I'm not writing a typical review by telling you what the story is about as you can read that for yourself when you look the book up. I don't recommend this book if you have a weak stomach though. I look forward to reading the sequel "Offspring".
