not picoult's best (but much better than the horrible 'the tenth circle') but still better than most books. maybe i have just read too many novels in general, but i saw teh 'big revelation' coming a mile away. the characters are well painted, and the story line flows nicely, with lots of twists and turns (a picoult specialty) but yes, could have been better. the twist at the very end was slightly similar to picoult's other 'faith' book, 'keeping the faith'
