Love in the time of cholera was the first Garcia Marquez book I ever read. Since reading it I have found myself eager to read every word ever written by this amazing writer! Love in the time of cholera is a wonderful read - it details two very different love stories, each involving the same woman.. The two love stories although very different are both equally real. At the end although I was sure that love prevailed I did wonder whether it was the truer of the two loves or rather the most enduring..

Love in the time of cholera is beautifully written, you will find yourself captivated by the descriptions of the people, the river and the town. This book was very hard to put down and once finished I was straight back at the book store buying as many Garcia Marquez books as I could find.
A delight to read - just please don't see the movie it really does not do the book even the remotest justice!
