Harry Potter is lucky to reach the age of thirteen, since he has survived the murderous attacks of the feared Dark Wizard Voldemort three times. But his hopes for a quiet term concentrating on Quidditch are dashed when a maniacal mass-murderer escapes from Azkaban, pursued by the soul-sucking Dementors who guard the prison. It's assumed that Hogwarts is the safest place for Harry to be. But is it a coincidence that he can feel eyes watching him in the dark, and should he be taking Professor Trelawney's ghoulish predictions seriously?

harry's back for his third year at Hogwarts, casting spells, facing fears, meeting magical creatures, and, of course, facing the fearsome you-know-who, and his many allies. This book contains many mysteries, and loads of magic, and is a great third book in this startling series.
Sirius Black is back, and he's out to kill the potter whose parents death was all his fault...
mwahaha...

I dont think that there is any human being who doesnt like harry potter!! this series of books is absolutely amazing and they have made jk rowling a billionaire! so obviously they are good! this book esepecially has it is quite dark but also has a little bit of humour at the same time. i would definatley reccomend this book to you! this is an absolutely great red
Harry Potter books are an awsome series and are filled with excitment and mysteries from begining to end. all worth the read and so hard to put down. The price is nothing compared to the enjoyment that you will get from reading this book. You definately want to purchase this book as you will be missing out if you dont! i must read for all. my fave book from the series so far!
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was an excellent read. It had a mesmerising storyline that fascianted and amazed me. The writing was excellent and easy to read. I really enjoyed the book. The book left me feeling great intrigued and satisfied. Only flaw was at one point it seemed all a bit ordinary but only for a second. I would recommend this product for all.
another awesome book in the series, probably the best out of the first three, as it is when the series starts to get a bit more dark, and therefore exciting. it is the catalyst for lord voldemorts return, and contains many an exciting moment, largely towards the end. great stuff, JK knows how to make a real page turner!!
The most important thing about this document of Harry Potter's third year at Hogwarts school of witch craft and wizardry is the introduction of the magical criminal, Sirius Black. As the story progresses it is discovered that, despite previous beliefs, he has not escaped from Azkaban to kill Harry, but rather someone else..who?
Harry Pooter and the prisoner of Azkaban is one of the most engaging books to come out of the series. This book is much better then the first two and has a much better and complex concept.Easily my favourite from them all. Five from Five
Whilst the first book was very mediocre, by the third book the Harry Potter series has dramatically improved. The characters are less stereotyped and Harry is actually showing some character development and complexity! I enjoyed this book a lot, although some irrational things still annoy me [why, if Potter's relatives hate him, didn't they put him up for adoption, why is he allowed to the wizard school, why doesn't he stay in the wizard world or alone with his sizeable fortune, instead of returning to the broom cupboard each holiday etc.]. Overall this book is fun andd an improvement on the poor first book.
An adult cover is a good idea, although the children's cover for this volume was passable for adults too.
A brilliant book. The third novel in JK Rowlings exceptional Potter series and a real blockbuster. You won't be able to put the book down.
Don't be dissuaded by the movie- unfortunately, this was a rather poor display of the magical world in which Harry lives- and that's the best I could say about it.
Harry Potter and Prisoner of Azkaban is my personal favourite in the series.
