– Customer review on 09/02/2008 If the sheer length of most of Salman Rushdie's novels is a bit off putting, or his linguistic pyrotechnics seem too much to take, then beginning with this collection of short stories might be a very good idea. His style is still evident in the shorter form, but length will be on your side here. All the stories are excellent, "The Harmony of the Spheres" and "Chekov and Zulu" being my particular favourites.
