'In a brief statement on Friday night, Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge confirmed that He Who Must Not Be Named has returned to this country and is once more active. "It is with great regret that I must confirm that the wizard styling himself Lord - well, you know who I mean - is alive and among us again," said Fudge.' These dramatic words appeared in the final pages of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. In the midst of this battle of good and evil, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince takes up the story of Harry Potter's sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, with Voldemort's power and followers increasing day by day

up until deathly hallows, this was my fave harry potter book! there are so many surprese that you are seriously on the edge of your seat the whole time! i think the biggest shock wuld have to been finding out the snape was working with voldermort the whole time! and then when he killed dumbledore..i mean, that just not on! i cant wait for this movie to be made as it is going to absolutely amazing!! good work j.k rowling! you rock!
this book is not to be missed, not because it is a harry potter book (though, let us face it, that is sufficient information enough for it to hit world wide best seller status) but because it lays down some serious ground work for what happens in the final and electricfying harry potter and the deathly hallows.
this sixth book in what is perhaps the most beloved series of our time is a step up from the rather horrendous fifth book (order of the phoenix) but nothing compared to the seventh book (the recently released harry potter and the deathly hallows). of course it does lay some ground work for the last one, so worth reading
i really enjoyed this book. well of course i did, because it IS harry potter! i was however saddened by a loss of a certain character...that will remain nameless as i dont want to spoil it for anyone...dont your just hate spoilers...? anyway, this book was fantastic, and is a must have for any harry potter fan out there!!
This is one of the best books in the Harry Potter series, he is in his 6th year at hogwarts and the plot thickens! Harry is finding out more about Voldemort's past and the prophecy and what he must do to finally finish him off.You have to read this book if you have read any of the others, you shouldnt need to read this review to decide! The end is rather sad and it leaves you wanting the 7th book to come out. luckily it comes out in a week.
I dont think that there is any human being who doesnt like harry potter!! this series of books is absolutely amazing and they have made jk rowling a billionaire! so obviously they are good! this book esepecially has it is quite dark but also has a little bit of humour at the same time. i would definatley reccomend this book to you! this is such a good read
If anything, this book seems to be getting things out of the way in preparation for book 7. While all of the others have some revelation and mystery upon first reading, book 6 was a string of "Yeah, I knew that was coming." Dumbledore has to be gotten out of the way so he won't be there to protect Harry in the final contest, yep, predicted that. Ron and Ginny? That was on its way for ages. And Ginny - well, that was evident from the first meeting on Platform 9 3/4. And yes, we all knew that Draco is a twat. Now that all of that is out of the way, here is hoping for a spectacular finalé in book 7.
The unexpected is always a hallmark of J K Rowling's Harry Potter series. This isn't just a set of stories for children, it is a wonderful series of absorbing novels that will endure. My whole family thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next novel to be released. Harry, Ron and Hermione are faced with new, escalating dangers as He Who Must Not Be Named returns to terrorise the wizarding world.
J.K. has done it again, you feel as though you have been transported to hogwarts, the characters really do come to life in this episode, and with some history on some of the teachers really gets you reading, and you just can't stop until you have finished, i like this one the best so far
