A very good read for Fans of the show that wanted an ending to the series. The only bad point i found was regarding 'Alec' the storyline didn't seem to follow where the writters were heading in regards to him and Max, it was said in the special features of season two that 'Alec' was going to be a potenial love interest for Max. I would have been happier if the author continued with this or at least kept their friendship growing. but in the book Alec doesn't even have the back seat hes more being dragged along behind. other than that the story and everything was very good.
Quiet a funny ending considering how bad ass the familiars are.
Max Guevera, mayor? Seems unlikely, but the defactor head of Terminal City is what she has become, it appears. She is also a big fan of Jonathon Swift.
Things start looking up, as the serial killer in the last episode, a shapeshifter, actually ended up taking out Logan's virus.
However, a gang then kidnaps Logan, and things go crazy.
It seems that the problem with centuries-spanning breeding cults, is, well, that they are a cult. Made up of people. With politics, power plays, etc.
The transgenics do not have this issue, and are able to use factional splits, and even Ames White, via his missing son, to cause a lot of problems for the Familiars.
Freaky prophecies about comets bringing death plagues are perhaps not too likely, either, they should keep in mind for the future.

This book was a brilliant idea. with so many questions left unanswered with the short end of the T.V show, the continuation of it in book form was good for die hard fans. After the Dark gets you up to speed with the situation going on in the lifes of Max and her friends. while still in a stand off in terminal city, as the T.V series left it when they finally got there.
this book is definatly a good buy for any fan.
This is a very good continuation of the Dark Angel Storyline that concluded in the Episode Freak Nation in Season 2 of the TV Series.
This follows those events and the conclusion of the Stand Off at Terminal City.
Fans of the Show will definately want to check it out as a number of the unanswered questions from the series are answered, plus all of these Massive mysteries still fit into places with the minor plot line that takes place in this novel itself. The Intertwining of all the elements and about 15 characters is very well written by Max Allen Collins. Great Read
