In this episode of Lilian Jackson Braun's The Cat Who books, Pickax prepares for its sesquicentennial with parades and other festivities. There is a murder, but it's hard to care for people we never meet! This book is not a mystery, it's a chronicle in the life of Qwill, his two siamese cats and Pickax City. As such it's acceptable if not exciting.
