I enjoyed reading a book by an Australian about Australian people and I certainly felt a familarity with the characters. Some of the language was a little bit colourful!
I lost my attention span in the middle but I got it back, excellent twist.
I would though read another book by Temple I do love a good crime/dective story.
Lean, incisive and very compelling with strong characters. A city cop who finds himself falling apart relocates to a small village and does the small town cop thing, walks his dogs a lot and tries to get his life back together, but a murder where everyone has made up their minds about the culprits threatens to puch him back over the edge.
